In the 42 overs remaining, Berkshire looked sharper in the field and Denning again bowled superbly taking four more wickets for 18 to finish with figures of 8-66 from his 27 overs as Wales were bowled out for 277. Berkshire, unfortunate to lose Brogan before the close, ended the day on 13-1 and it will need some imaginative captaincy to conjure up an exciting final day’s play.
